SUMMARY:Honoring Veterans for Memorial Day
DESCRIPTION:Since 2000\, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery has paid tribute to the lives of Veterans at our Annual Flag Placement event. This is a large-scale event where volunteers place American flags on every grave within our Veteran’s sections\, totaling nearly 6\,000. This year\, we want to thank Rob Contestabile and volunteers from the Excellus Veterans Network\, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and local Boy Scout Troops who will place the American flags on Thursday\, May 23rd. The flags will remain up until Flag Day. \nFor those families whose loved ones are not buried in a Veteran section\, complimentary flags will be available in our lobby throughout the Memorial Day weekend. We invite you to visit the cemetery\, to take a moment to honor those lost before us and to celebrate Memorial Day.

During regular business hours\, from May 20th to May 25th\, we welcome the community to come and drop off their old\, broken religious articles. We will properly and reverently dispose of these blessed religious goods. \nPlease keep in mind the following stipulations: \n\nEach item cannot exceed 2 feet in length\, width and height.\nWe are asking that people bring in blessed items only.\nDo not bring in cremated remains of a loved one or pet.\nOnce the items have been brought in for proper disposal\, they cannot be retrieved.\n\nReligious Article Drop-Off: \nMonday\, May 20 – Friday\, May 24 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm \nSaturday\, May 25 from 9:00 am to 12 noon \nDrop Off is located in the Main Office.

DESCRIPTION:On March 15th\, we begin spring clean-up of our cemeteries. With nearly 450 acres of land\, safety is our primary focus. If you have decorations that you would like to save\, we highly encourage you to pick up these items before the clean-up time begins. Our team takes the time to remove each item carefully\, and if it is intact and unbroken\, these items are placed in the pick-up area (located next to our main office). \nIf you were unable to pick up your items before clean-up began\, you may visit the pick-up area to locate your items. We cannot guarantee that your items are locatable\, but we hope this added step assists those unable to pick up their items. \nA complete list of regulations can be found at our cemeteries or here: https://holysepulchre.org/brochures/. Please refer to these brochures when planning your annual decorations.
