Our faith promises life everlasting. During this holiday time, we provide a special event honoring the lives of those who have gone before us.

Friends and family are cordially invited to the Night of Light: Luminaries of Remembrance event at Ascension Garden Cemetery which will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Join us in the chapel as we celebrate the lives of our loved ones. A short ceremony will be celebrated by Father Peter T. Bayer. After the ceremony, we will distribute a special package, complete with a luminary bag and candle in honor of your loved one. These remembrance luminary bags are intended to be taken home, so you may celebrate the life of your departed loved one.

As Catholics, Advent is a special time of year. We hope this program offers you a way to honor the memories of those that have gone before us. We invite you to continue this special tradition during this holy time of year.

Please know that your loved one will be remembered in our prayers during this event even if you are unable to attend.  As always, your loved one will also be honored at the Daily Memorial Mass held at the Abbey of the Genesee.
